About Giuseppina Mabilia

Giuseppina was born in The Veneto. Her family has lived there for generations. Her career path took her to The Luberon Valley in Provence where she was a private chef at two estates for ten years. She relied on Venetian cooking traditions to satisfy the expectations of her sophisticated clients. Four years ago she started Venise en Provence Cookery School in The Luberon’s most sought-after village, where she is famous for teaching easy and accessible from-scratch techniques. Her presentations are splendid and inviting. But she always misses “my Venice” and returns to her homeland often. “It’s where I feel fully alive.”

Some people are born chefs. Giuseppina is one of them. Some people are poets in that rarefied realm, but few are also good teachers. Giuseppina is both. Watching her and hearing her explain a seemingly small decision is a master class on-the-fly. She is in love with food. And so are her many delighted clients.

No matter where she is, she says “I feel profoundly anchored in my unique native culture.” But any good farmers’ market is her palette. Seasonal local products are her raw materials. She’s traditional, yet always looking to “rediscover another ancient recipe and bring it to life again.

Join her for a week of delicious, authentic and beautiful feasts — and cooking tips to remember!
