We chose Il Canonici San Marco Glamping because it feels good to come back to a quiet beautiful place in the Venetian countryside after a long day, and also because this is one of the most luxurious and stylish glamping hotels in the world. Glamping means “glamorous camping,” so yes, there are tents — four very large, luxuriously furnished tents, equipped with every creature comfort. Another reason we’ve chosen Il Canonici is logistical. It’s only thirty minutes from Venice, close to our private boat, and is also an ideal central spot from which to launch our other excursions.
Its main buildings date from the 17th Century. In it are a grand kitchen, breakfast room, two dining rooms, living areas and two standard suites. The entire place is like a movie set; everywhere you look it’s simply perfect.
